*** Women 3/4 race is part of the 2009 Proteus/MABRA Category 3&4 Women’s Race Series.

1.        Race is run on a rolling 8-mile loop in Poolesville, MD.  MAP.  Centerline rule will be in effect and enforced.

2.        Races run rain or shine.

3.        Entry fee for all races is $35, which includes the BikeReg registration fee of $3.00.  No Mail in Registration – online or  race day only.  Race-day entry fee is $40 (which includes a late fee).  Register online at http://www.bikereg.com.  Online registration re-opens Tuesday 5/26/2009.  Race-day registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes 15 minutes prior to each race. 

4.        Unattached rider fee of $10 (except for Men 5/Women 4).

5.        Transfers will be allowed up to 6/8/09.  No transfers will be made after that date. No refunds.

6.        Riders who are lapped or out of contention may be pulled at officials’ discretion.

7.        The centerline rule will be vigorously enforced.

8.        Each race will be followed by a wheels in/wheels out support vehicle. Race promoter is not responsible for lost or missing wheels.

9.        The following events (listed parenthetically) are included in the following BAR competitions: Novice Men BAR (Men 4); Senior Women BAR (Women 1/2/3); Senior 3 Women BAR / Novice Women BAR (Women 3/4); Senior Men BAR (Men Pro/1/2); and Senior 3 Men BAR (Men 3).

11.     Directions:

From DC Beltway- I-270 North to Exit 10 (Clopper Road).  Take a right at light at the end of the exit ramp.  Take a left on Quince Orchard Rd (Rt 124).  Follow approximately 3 miles to Rt 28W/Darnestown Road.  Take a right onto 28W and follow approximately 6 miles.  Veer left onto Rt 107/Whites Ferry Road towards Poolesville.  Follow approximately 4 miles and take a left on Wooton Ave.  Proceed on Wooton approximately .2 miles and take a left onto Hughes Road.  Follow signs to race parking.
